We're seeking a highly organized, experienced Regional Manager to drive Row 7's multifaceted Retail Experience Program across more than 500 Whole Foods Market national locations. The Manager will primarily support the Retail Experience Manager in hiring and onboarding the Row 7 Culinary Team and executing engaging food demonstration programs across assigned Whole Foods locations. You will oversee all on-the-ground aspects of the program, conduct regular in-store visits, deliver in-person culinary team training sessions, implement food and material distribution plans, and provide educational experiences that showcase our brand's unique value. The ideal candidate will have experience in food and beverage events, a passion for food and agriculture, and strong recruiting, organizational, and team management skills.

REPORTS TO Retail Experience Manager

LOCATION AND WORK SCHEDULE 
  • Remote within assigned region
  • Ability to travel to retail locations within assigned region
  • May and June / Monday - Friday [anticipated 40 hours per week]
  • July through December / Thursday - Monday [anticipated 40 hours per week]
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage the implementation of tasting demonstration programs across assigned regions, supervising Coordinators, and ensuring program quality.

Program Development and Implementation

  • Support the Retail Experience Manager in program development and implementation by providing regional market insights, coordinating with local store management, and adapting national strategies to meet regional needs
  • Monitor program progress and make necessary adjustments by analyzing demonstration metrics, store feedback, and team member performance reports
  • Travel to demonstration locations for quality checks, observing presentations, verifying compliance with brand standards, and providing on-site coaching
  • Send weekly and other communications to the Row 7 Culinary Team as required, including product information updates, scheduling changes, and company announcements
  • Manage culinary demonstration planning and scheduling for a team of over 40 Row 7 Culinary Team Members in assigned regions through Google Workspaces, Interactions (demo booking website), and other scheduling platforms

Team Building and Education

  • Collaborate and support with the Hiring Associate to hire, train, and manage Culinary Team Members and Regional Coordinators by conducting interviews, facilitating onboarding, and delivering performance evaluations
  • Organize team assignments, schedules, and administrative paperwork to ensure appropriate staffing levels, balanced workloads, and complete documentation  
  • Facilitate communication with retail store partners by establishing regular contact protocols, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive relationships

Administrative Support

  • Process and distribute weekly communications reports to leadership, highlighting key metric successes and areas needing attention
  • Support the collection and analysis of program data by reviewing demonstration reports, consolidating feedback, and identifying trends
  • Oversee expense management and reporting, including managing credit card receipts for weekly expense reports, reviewing purchases, and ensuring compliance with budget guidelines
  • Manage mid-week communications about product availability, special instructions, and operational updates related to cooking
  • Coordinate schedule reminders and store communications to confirm demonstration details, special requirements, and any last-minute changes

Operational Support

  • Support Culinary Team Members and Coordinators with program setup and logistics by providing resources, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
  • Prepare and send weekly demonstration update reports to the Retail Experience Manager, detailing accomplishments, challenges, and upcoming activities
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • 5+ years of experience in food & beverage programmatic and event production management or retail food sampling programs
  • Hospitality or culinary management experience, or on-the-ground project management experience, may be applicable
  • Experience coordinating food production in commercial or commissary kitchens
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to move demonstration equipment weighing up to 50 pounds frequently throughout assigned shift
Details
  • This is an exempt role.  The target pay range for this role is $75,000 - $82,000 annually, prorated based on days worked

Role Responsibilities
  • Inspire and educate shoppers about the Row 7 brand and vegetable varieties, sharing key culinary and flavor details 
  • Prepare, cook, and serve tastings of Row 7 vegetables to shoppers, ensuring that the experience reflects Row 7’s culinary excellence
  • Engage with shoppers on how to prepare Row 7 vegetables at home and answer questions shoppers may have about Row 7 vegetables
  • Set up inviting product demonstration displays, utilizing Row 7 resources and  materials 
  • Collaborate with retail partners to ensure demonstration spaces are supplied and replenished with Row 7 vegetables
  • Adhere to culinary kit maintenance, inventory, and accountability protocols
  • Develop an understanding of and ability to share the Row 7 Culinary Team Curriculum

The ideal candidate will
  • Be eager to take on a customer-facing role and share information with enthusiasm
  • Have a year of culinary, front of house or agricultural experience–encouraged but not required
  • Be comfortable with knives and culinary utensils, or willing to learn with additional instruction

The ideal candidate will possess culinary experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead and inspire. Experience in teaching and team-building, especially in food & beverage events (and/or retail food demo experience), is highly valued.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversees the coordination of in-store tasting and demonstration program, acting as a bridge between management and the Culinary Team Members.

Development and Implementation

  • Conduct in-store tastings and demonstrations (approximately 50% of schedule) throughout the 2025 season, showcasing products with brand-consistent messaging and an engaging presentation.
  • Support the Regional Manager in planning and executing tasting programs by providing on-site insights, testing new approaches, and adapting to local store environments.
  • Monitor program progress and troubleshoot issues during demonstrations, making real-time adjustments to ensure successful customer engagement.
  • Travel to demonstration locations as needed to provide support, ensure quality standards, and maintain store relationships.
  • Assist with demo setup, breakdown, and logistics, including equipment arrangement, sample preparation, and material management.

Team Building and Education

  • Provide remote and in-person, in-the-moment oversight and training to Culinary Team Members, offering immediate feedback to demonstrate techniques and reinforce brand standards.
  • Facilitate communication among Culinary Team Members by supporting information-sharing strategies and fostering community through team meetings, digital platforms, and informal mentoring.
  • Create and send weekend update reports to the Regional Manager every Sunday at the end of the demo shift, detailing activities, challenges, and successes.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Support data collection and analysis for program improvement by tracking customer interactions, product feedback, and demonstration effectiveness.  
  • Manage demo day communications with store staff, team members, and management to ensure smooth operations.  
  • Assist in providing post-program reports and insights to inform future program strategies and initiatives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
  • 3+ years of culinary experience in restaurant/kitchen leadership role, culinary education position, and/or event production, or retail food sampling programs
  • Experience coordinating food production in commercial/commissary kitchens preferred
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
