Seasonal Brand Education East Coast Hiring and Production Manager

Full time


REMOTE

We’re seeking a highly organized, experienced Regional Manager to contribute to, support, and administer Row 7’s multifaceted Brand Education and Demonstration Program across 150+ Whole Foods Market locations on the East and West Coasts. The Manager will primarily support the Experience Producer in recruiting and onboarding the Brand Education team and executing and managing a food demonstration and experience program across East Coast Whole Foods locations. You will be responsible for supporting all on-the-ground facets of the program, including hiring, onboarding, and support for Brand Educators, along with implementing a food and material distribution plan and executing an engaging and educational experience.

LOCATION & ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE
  • Remote within assigned region
  • Ability to travel to Whole Foods locations within assigned region
  • May 13 - July 2024 / Monday - Friday
  • August - November 2024 / Wednesday - Sunday
REPORTING

This role reports to the Brand Education Experience Producer.

Role Responsibilities

Program Development and Implementation

  • Support Experience Producer in managing a comprehensive plan for tasting demo programs and experiences at Whole Food Market (WFM) locations across the assigned regional area
  • Process and distribute weekly communications reports, including demonstration program updates and facility par numbers
  • Support Brand Educators in program setup, breakdown, and logistics
  • Support Experience Producer in monitoring program progress, troubleshooting issues, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure the success of each demonstration
  • Travel to active demonstration locations as needed and coordinate with the Experience Producer to maintain quality checks across all locations
  • Support Experience Producer in monitoring program supplies, dry materials, and inventory
  • Support in collecting and analyzing program data, providing post-program reports and insights to inform future program strategies and initiatives

Team Building and Education

  • Coordinate and support in recruiting, hiring, training, and manage Brand Educators and Regional Coordinators for all programs across all WFM locations
  • Support in managing and organizing regional Brand Educator worksite assignments and schedules,  administrative paperwork, and accounting for Brand Educators

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in food & beverage programmatic and event production management or retail food sampling programs
  • Experience coordinating food production in commercial or commissary kitchens
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Details
  • This is a seasonal, exempt role.  The target pay range for this role is $78,000 - $90,000 annually, prorated based on days worked

Produce Inspector — Western New York

Row 7 seeks a seasonal, part-time agricultural professional to join our supply chain team and ensure the highest-quality products are delivered to our customers. The Row 7 Produce Inspector will represent Row 7 with the highest level of integrity and respect to growers and other supply chain stakeholders. This crucial role will monitor produce quality on the farm, providing continual improvement to Row 7 team members. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate and advise our team in making decisions regarding the quality of our produce.

Role Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site, in-person visits to Row 7’s  grower network 
  • Work proactively with growers to ensure the finished produce product meets Row 7 specifications, including post-harvest inspections during the pack and ship process
  • Review and reinforce Row 7 cut-to-cool metrics with our grower partners
  • Identify and communicate any potential timeline or quality risks. Contribute as a problem-solving thought partner in solving for risks
  • Assist in determining the root cause of any quality issue, and complete reports, monitor, and track all produce quality issues 
  • Collaborate with Row 7 produce supply chain team to develop an action plan for non-compliant product
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data points at pre-commercial trial plantings throughout the growing season
  • Maintain accurate and organized reports
  • Provide input on produce specifications based on customer and grower feedback throughout the growing process
  • Aid in documentation collection for food safety compliance
  • Provide on-the-ground support to other East Coast Produce Inspectors when needed
The ideal candidate has
  • Experience working within the Northeast produce supply chain; experience within the retail produce programs a plus
  • Understanding of regional growing practices, seasonal conditions, produce quality measures, preferably with row crops
  • Knowledge of general shipping and receiving practices
  • Ability to use G-Suite software for data entry and tracking
  • Organized and accountable, able to meet deadlines 
  • A skilled verbal and written communicator
  • Strong at problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Available for overnight and regular travel as needed
LOCATION
  • Ability to travel and support production and distribution of produce in Western New York and Finger Lake Region.
REPORTING

This role reports to the East Coast Grower Relations Manager.
